Kiralie's 1st birthday and foto shoot!

So its been a little over 2 weeks since Kiralie turned 1. The big milestone in our lives as parents. This last year has been challenging but very rewarding. We've had our ups and downs as new parents but it's been mostly ups with this precious girl. She was a great newborn. Very content and hardly cried. She moved into her bedroom right before she turned 3 months. And she has been there ever since.

She is pretty settled in her room now since she knows where her Jesus picture is. And will always point to it or look that way whenever you say "Jesus". She loves bath time and will crawl straight to her bathroom when you strip her down.
She loves to play(especially with daddy) and loves to bully missy. But missy takes it because of the great love she has for her little sister. I have absolutely loved being a momma to this precious daughter of God. She puts so many things into perspective for me. She makes me appreciate the time I spend with family and value their role in my life. We have enjoyed this year together as a family and are looking forward to many more fun years with our girl. She gets even more amazing and surprises us everyday. So we are looking forward to some more craziness in this household.

We have accomplished quite a bit in this year as well. Kiralie is sleeping through the night and we love that about her. She has never had a bottle in bed and she does well with that. She is brushing her 4 teeth after her bottle before bedtime. Which is a great way to start a routine. She no longer has a binkie or bottles. But will stick one in her mouth whenever she finds one hidden somewhere.
She has also started to walk. And she gets more confident by the day in her ability to walk. The best of all to me as a mum is the fact that, she is already picking up after herself. She will unpack my bag and put everything back in it. When she spills stuff, she tries to pick it all up. And she wipes her face after eating when I hand her a wipe. She also wipes her tray and hands and even her sippy. I guess she is just doing what she sees me do. But it is just amazing to watch her do all these things. The joys of parenthood.

We wanted to do something special for her since we weren't going to have a party.
Well, the photo shoot didn't go so well. Kiralie just didn't want to get her picture taken that day. I had to schedule this appointment about 5 months in advance so that we could get a time slot that will be good for all three of us. But the "queen" just didn't want to have anything to do with it.
Thanks to Daniel at fotofly, we were able to get some amazing pix. I still don't know how he did it and how he was able to capture all those moments. Because we were ready to reschedule to go back and and start all over again.
But we are very happy with the outcome of that session and we will love to share it with you. Kiralie is a blessing to our lives and she has taught us a lot and we continue to learn and grow together as a family each day. And we pray that we can continue to do so and teach and guide her on her way, together as a family on our eternal journey so that we can all return to our Heavenly Father. We hope that we can fulfill our role as guardians to this special daughter of God. We love her  so much and we are looking forward to getting to all those many milestones ahead of us.

Enjoy the pix
